The The Norman E. Leeds Award for the best scientific paper and the Stephen A. Kieffer Award for the best scientific paper by a trainee are awarded each year at the Annual Meeting of The Eastern Neuroradiological Society. The awards were established in 1994.
The following awards were given for presentations during the ENRS 30st Annual Meeting, August 23-26, 2018 at the Fairmont Southhampton, Bermuda Hamilton, Bermuda.
The Norman E. Leeds Award for best scientific paper presented was given to Natasha Smith, MD, from Cornell University, New York, New York. Dr. Smith’s presentation was entitled, Radiogenomic Analysis of Blood-Brain-Barrier Disruption in Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Utilizing CT-Perfusion Imaging and Micro RNA Profiling.
The Stephen A. Kieffer Award for best mentored paper was given to Adam Dmytriw, MD, from the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Dmytriw’s presentation was entitled, The Pipeline Embolization Device: changes in practice and the reduction of complications in the treatment of anterior circulation aneurysms.
The Stephen A. Kieffer Award for best mentored paper was given to Joan Chi, MD, from the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Chi’s presentation was entitled, Increased Blood Brain Barrier Permeability in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.
The inaugural Robert D. Zimmerman Award for best poster exhibit was given to Austin Ditmer, MD, for his exhibit entitled Diagnostic Accuracy of MRI Textural Analysis for Grading Gliomas.
